10 July 2010 - Pigeon River Whitewater Rafting

We made it to the Great Smokey Mountains and first off went whitewater rafting on the Pigeon River...as Amber put it...AWESOME! The water was up, so we got up to class 4 whitewater! Sweet! NOC had photographers along the river, so we have some awesome photos coming in the mail.

09 July 2010 - The Grand Ole Opry!

What a great night! The Grand Ole Opry has moved back into Ryman Auditorium due to the spring flooding; which turned out to be great since it was the home of the Opry in the 1940s to 1970s located in downtown Nashville.

09 July 2010 - The Hermitage & Belle Meade Plantation

First stop Nashville, Tennessee. We all enjoyed touring Andrew Jackson's home, The Hermitage and the birth place of true thoroughbred horses, Belle Meade Plantation. Tonight off to the Grand Ole Opry!

Off to the East with Brian and Amber!

Today we departed St Louis, MO, for this year's summer trip with our nephew and niece, Brian and Amber. Last year we went west, this year it's to the East and South. Our first stop is Nashville, TN.

Aloha from the Big Island

Kim and I along with my sister and my cousin along with Kim's aunt and cousin with her family are enjoying the paradise of the Pacific. We're staying in Kona and our condo is right on the beach or I might say more correctly on a lava flow at the waters edge.

Blast Off

While house and dog sitting for our son and his SO, I went down to Titusville and watched the space shuttle launch...Wow!

New Orleans Jazz Fest 2010

Had a great time with my cousin Doc Marty at the NOLA Jazz Fest. Three days of great New Orleans food and music! This was a "boy's weekend"...I think it was the first for Marty and I...Thanks Kim and Marilyn...we love you!!
